CJ Solar Gets First #1 Hit As A Songwriter
Aug 02, 2018
Nashville songwriter and recording artist, and Baton Rouge native, CJ Solar recently scored his first #1 as a songwriter when Morgan Wallen and Florida Georgia Line took 'Up Down' to the top of the charts. Solar, who wrote 'Up Down' with Brad Clawson and Michael Hardy, said "I don't even know what to say...I have been dreaming of this day since I wrote my first song when I was like twelve." Solar also added "I can’t thank Morgan, FGL and the whole Big Loud crew for taking it all the way to the top and to the Country fans for helping make it happen!”
CJ may have written his first #1 song, but he is also making waves as an artist. He was named as one of Rolling Stone magazine's "New Artists You Need To Know" and recently played shows with Lynyrd Skynyrd, .38 Special, Cheap Trick, and Hank Williams Jr..
This achievement is extra special to us here at Louisiana Country Music because CJ is a great friend of ours and we have seen the hard work he has put in to get to this point. Check out his music on all digital distribution services. Make sure to catch CJ at The Texas Club on August 31st. Get your tickets today!
